Established on March 24, 2021, CLMA is a not-for-profit organization founded by Dr. Jamie Ghossein, Dr. Malek Tabbara, and Dr. Chamoun Chamoun. Our mission is to unite Canadian healthcare professionals of Lebanese heritage—and those passionate about Lebanon—to advance medical education, foster collaboration, and improve health outcomes across communities in both Canada and Lebanon.
We are currently recruiting new members and establishing our board of directors and officers. Join us on this exciting journey as we build a strong community dedicated to making a lasting impact in healthcare.

One of the key focuses of the CLMA is to bring together Canadian healthcare professionals of Lebanese descent to work on projects aimed at improving healthcare in Lebanon. By organizing annual medical conferences in both Lebanon and Canada, the association aims to promote advanced medical education and facilitate knowledge exchange among healthcare professionals. Collaborating with the Lebanese Medical Association, the CLMA is also working on developing a Doctor's Library to provide access to advanced medical resources for healthcare professionals in Lebanon.
Moreover, the CLMA is dedicated to supporting the growth of academic and healthcare institutions in Lebanon, promoting Lebanese medical literature on a global scale, and facilitating educational exchange programs for Lebanese medical students and researchers. The association also strives to provide financial assistance to medical schools in Lebanon, organize medical missions from Canada to underserved areas in Lebanon, and conduct local educational programs and professional development events in Canada.
The website of the Canadian Lebanese Medical Association serves as a hub for information and resources for healthcare professionals looking to get involved. With pages dedicated to recruitment, general information, updates, events, and learning opportunities for international students, the website provides a platform for individuals to join the association, stay informed about upcoming events, and contribute to the healthcare initiatives in Lebanon. A donation button is also available for those who wish to support the activities of the association and make a positive impact on healthcare in Lebanon.
In conclusion, the Canadian Lebanese Medical Association is on a mission to empower healthcare professionals of Lebanese heritage and create meaningful change in healthcare across Lebanon. Through its diverse set of goals and initiatives, the CLMA is committed to making a lasting impact on health and well-being in Lebanon's communities.
